What RAC Trackstar Plus Does

RAC Trackstar Plus will track your car from the moment it is moved, without your vehicle's key.  This vehicle tracker works by sending a signal to the RAC Trackstar National control centre who will immediately pin point your vehicle using the American Military GPS satellite network.  The RAC Trackstar Plus stolen vehicle tracker system is also equipped with a motion sensor and will alert the Control centre in the event of your vehicle being moved by low loader or towing.

RAC Trackstar will call you to confirm that your vehicle has been stolen and will liaise with the police, who are given details of your vehicle's precise location.  Your vehicle will be retrieved and returned to any UK mainland address by either the RAC (with no extra charge to you) or the police, depending on the circumstance.  These signals are updated every 20 seconds.  You could get your car back within an hour!

Even if your car is not stolen, RAC Trackstar allow you to verify the whereabouts of your vehicle 6 times a year. 

RAC Trackstar is part of the Trafficmaster group.  You may be aware of Trafficmaster from their network of traffic flow cameras, these are the blue poles you see on most UK trunk roads.  Being part of Trafficmaster means that Trackstar is able to offer many optional extras not found on other vehicle trackers, like Safespeed, European cover and Emergency and Breakdown .

How Cobra Tracking Systems Work?

In the event of a theft alert, the Cobra 24/7 control room will contact the owner of the vehicle. On confirmation by the vehicle owner of an actual theft, the control room will begin tracking and monitoring the vehicle on their control screens and will liaise with the police to help recover the vehicle.

All systems provide coverage across Europe. With CobraTrak Q and CobraTrak Q attivo, a theft may be reported by the vehicle user or may be alerted by a movement device integral to the device installed in the vehicle. With CobraTrak 5, the above applies with the addition of alerts if the vehicle is taken with no ADR card present.

An alert is triggered in the control room and the owner is contacted to verify the theft. With CobraConnex, Using a web browser with secure password protected access or via any touchtone phone, you have the ability to send and recieve "communications" from your vehicle (for example, obtaining a remote position request). The stolen vehicle recovery aspect works in a similar manner to CobraTrak
